The importance of communication

In contemporary society, there are variable ways to contact with others. With the advent of high technology century, it is likely to make an appointment, chat with friends though in different sides of the globe and build up new relationship without egression. Actually, connecting with other by some tech methods is much easier than real communication. Therefore, numerous people ignore the importance of communication.
In our daily life, we do need communication everywhere. We need different kinds of communication in different roles. As a student, we have to communicate with our peers and teachers to discuss the solution of academic questions. As business men, to some extent, their job partly depend on effective and , the most important, clear communication with clienteles. As a doctor, appropriate communication will greatly pacify the patients relatives. A relationship is a connection and exchange between people. Communication plays an imperative role in the exchange among us. It exchanges information in the form of opinions, wants, emotions and experiences. If we incomplete or stop our communication, there would be a big block created in the relationship. In view of this, we can realize that communication is such significance to us.
I strongly believe that the secret of successful projects is "Communication"! If the employer and the worker can communicate well, the project is only a matter of time to finish. Communication doesn't only mean that both parties have to speak the same language. It means more than that. It has to do with the wealth of information that is exchanged between them. Communication must be fluent, clear and enriched with meaningful information.
Additionally, communication also has strong power to cancel the invisible gulf lying cross two hearts. Communication does not mean talk with someone all day or spout an eloquent speech. To someone you familiar, a meaningful glance or wink is adequate for you to communicate. Communication is the basis of our society. Without communication, knowledge will not be shared and learned, history will not be passed down, language will not be spreaded and multicultural countries will not be created.
As we talked in the last class, network, is pretty close and depend on communication. Communication is a necessity as we use it to network, spread ideas, and promote. Communicate effectively through well known mediums and convey it simply and precisely. Never feel afraid or avoid communicating deliberately. The importance of communication is crucial to the success of your organization because you need to reach out in order to fulfill your mission.
All in all, communication is not only a way of knowing each other, but also shorten the distance among human beings. We should undoubtedly spare no effort to communicate with others and try to come into contact with society more. Seize any opportunities to communicate with others, hence, your social intercourse will gradually improve. This will benefit much while you step into the society.

Blog #2 Network

In the Friday evening, I finish my homework ahead of the schedule and decide to do some sports. I go to CRCE (Campus Recreation Centrer East) which is just half minute's walk near my dormitory. I enter CRCE with my Icard and barrow a basketball as usual. There are numerous students enjoying their leisure time in this multifunctional sports center. Some students play hockey, some play soccer and swimming, but most of them share the same hobby with me-playing basketball.

At the very beginning, I just warm up myself by some simple and relaxed activities in a vacant court and shoot the ball individually. By chance, an Asian face student is also shooting by himself in the next court. I come to him and say hello to him. He is very friendly and hospital while I am greeting him. We try to understand each further so we start a conversation while shooting. His name is Jack and was born in China but leave for America at his 2. It is difficult to recognize that he is a Chinese with his standard pronunciation and vivid body language. Although China is his motherland, his living environment and life style have been completely turned from oriental to western. Full English speaking environment contributes to his veritable and perfect language proficiency. In the duration of chatting with Jack, interestingly, when I misunderstand his ideas, he will try to use Chinese to explain and make me clear about what he wants to express. Though he speaks rough Chinese and is not very fluently, he offers me a feeling of affability. It is actually a wonderful and memorable experience to converse with Jack. He is now an ABC (American Born in China).

Almost 30 minutes later, we both agree to play a game with other CRCErs. Fortunately, we are divided into the same team. Believing or not, we play a splendid game and have brilliant cooperations though this is our first time in harness. To some degree, maybe it is called privity which I always pursue.

All in all, it is likely to build a relationship by taking some initiative. There are manifold options to build relationship. For instance, playing basketball not only benefits us physically, but also act as an invisible bridge among human beings. As we graduate from university and step into the society, extensive network and widespread interpersonal relationship will undoubtedly benefit us in our future development. The competition in contemporary society is becoming increasingly fierce. Therefore, develop and expand our network in our daily life plays an essential role. We must survive in the reality and achieve our own success.
